A graduate of Syracuse University and 2nd generation toy-man and fixture in the toy business for most of his life and probably yours too, Bob had his first concept produced at age 15, a toe-shaped rocket for Estes, appropriately named "The Missile Toe." Since then, this self-proclaimed "limited guy" has demonstrated an unlimited capacity for partnering unlikely toy-smiths with one another and nurturing hit toys through their development from concept to completion. In 1981, Bob founded Nextoy and, with partners Asahi Corp. and CCP, was a pioneer in bridging product concepts and relationships with Japanese toy companies and developers with western markets, a key specialty of Nextoy to this day.
Bob has been awarded the prestigious I.D.I.O.T. (International Designer and Inventor of Toys) Award in 1995, and Nextoy has been nominated for several TOTY (Toy Of The Year) awards for both our innovative new products and our charitable work with The Make-A-Wish Foundation of the Hudson Valley where Bob proudly serves on the Board of Directors!
